You would be forgiven for noticing an increase in the aero modelling activity on this blog. I guess things come and go in cycles, and right now I must be nearing the peak in aero modelling activity. The increased activity is even running across to my workmates, one of whom made the fatal mistake of expressing some kind of interest in what went on. Fool! So before he went out and equipped himself with a ready to crash aircraft deal I showed him the BMFA (British Model Flying Association) web site (that’s because, despite my reputation, I’m responsible … ish). So he’ll be nicely insured, and I’ve offered to help him learn to fly. However, before he spent his hard earned pounds on a model, I did suggest that he also invest in an R/C Simulator. One that would teach him the rudiments on flying a model aircraft and maybe help with orientation as the controls reverse when the aircraft is approaching. After bringing it into the office (doh! there goes another day), we all had loads of fun destroying pixels it went home for it’s first weekend. On the Monday, I asked how it went, only to find that some five or six hours had elapsed in a single session on Saturday. So now he’s addicted and soon to be converted to the real thing. NEXXXTTT!
