| Google loves me |

You may recall an entry I wrote in this blog way back in early June titled “Why does Google hate me so much?”. Guess what? It seems they don’t hate me. You just have to dance to their tune. So having made this site Google friendly, it’s now scanned daily for updates, and it seems to be working. What I don’t understand in this modern day of computerisation and automation is why it takes so long to get properly indexed? When you initially register your shiny new site with Google you’ll probably naively expect it to appear in the index within a few hours or so. Nothing could be further from the truth. It seems to take about 10 days assuming you do it right, set up correct sitemap files and submit them properly. As for the continual updates, well they take time as well. It seems to take between 2-4 weeks from when Google scan your updated sitemap file until it appears in the index. Weird eh? Well I’m happy now as we have managed some 46 pages (changes daily) of Google listings and have reasonable positions within the list. So all the effort pays off. Thank you Google. PS: were also in yahoo and the live (Microsoft) search engines as well. I guess they also communicate. Add your comment |
