Moray Firth: Originally built in 1922 as a coastal ship, this model was constructed by Jon Grundy. A superb example of fine detailing (just look at the rust on the bow).
Scratch built over one year, Jon says that the hull was the worst part of construction. Jon created the fibreglass hull by fabricating a mould out of plywood. The rust detail was added using a crayon after varnishing, and the wooden decking constructed from coffee stick stirrers ‘borrowed' from coffee shops.
Catherine: This lovely little craft is an excellent example of a ready made - ready to go trawler. She features a fibre glass hull, and at £150 represents excellent ‘all in' value. Adrian (owner) says this price included all the radio gear, motor and batteries. What an excellent little craft.
