Video formats
Thursday, 07 August 2008 00:00

I've been experimenting with various video formats and have just about decided (no indecision there then) to drop the YouTube in favour of Vimeo. Vimeo offers higher quality videos in an easier to embed and group manner. This means that in addition to adding articles about individual videos, ill also be offering archives by activity all in one place.

For now it's a work in progress; however I will migrate all the content into Vimeo as time allows.

As a taster you can see the Seawind Yacht videos here and the model aircraft aerial videos here.

Any comments or suggestions as to the video presentation are welcome.

The Quadrocopter Project
Wednesday, 30 July 2008 00:00

I'm really excited about this project. It's taken me back to my youth soldering electronic components to circuit boards and also ties in with my model aircraft flying and photography skills. This project should be making it's maiden flight within the next two weeks and once correctly programmed will have the cameras attached.

This was built from the outset as an aerial photography platform and is expected to be suitable for low level photographs of buildings etc. in contrast to the electric glider that I use for high altitude (3000 feet) photography. Keep an eye on the Aerial Photography sections of the site for regular progress updates.

Kelsall Steam Rally
Tuesday, 15 July 2008 00:00

We've added a substantial amount of content from the 2008 Kelsall Steam Rally and give it it's own mini site. We expect to grow this significantly next year and anticipate adding many new items including how to get there maps, maps of the venue and other helpful information.

Check out the Kelsall Steam Rally link on the top left menu.
